Everyone has a fighting chance
Last year Wizards of the Coast aligned their league play, game releases, books, and the MMORPG Neverwinter to support a single event that spanned most of the year. Continuing that trend earlier this month beginning with their adventure’s league WotC started the Elemental Evil season. Elemental Evil will make its way to Neverwinter in April and we had the Cryptic team answer some questions regarding the lore behind Elemental Evil. Read on to see what they had to say.
Cryptic Studios has announced that the next Neverwinter module, Elemental Evil, will be released on April 7th. Originally slated for a March 17th release, Cryptic felt that, given the scope of the module, the team needed more time to deliver a high quality, finely tuned module to players.
Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that the Neverwinter Elemental Evil module will hit live service on March 17th. The module includes a level cap increase, the new Oathbound Paladin playable class, new locations and, of course, the return of Minsc and Boo to a D&D game. The Neverwinter team has put together a nice summary of many of the new and improved features that players can expect to find when Elemental Evil launches in a couple of weeks.

Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have been hard at work preparing Neverwinter for deployment to the XBox One. With a successful beta behind it, the XBox One version of the game is slated to be released on March 31st and will come with all content through the Tyranny of Dragons update. The Oathbound Paladin and the Elemental Evil module will be added at a later date.
The Neverwinter site has been updated with a list of several activities players can participate in alongside the community team. This month NW community team member "Akro" will be leading the charge into PvP battles as well as a dungeon delve event.
Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment have announced that the next Neverwinter module, Elemental Evil, will be released on March 17th. Doubtless overshadowing this good news is the fact that the ever-popular Minsc and Boo, the ranger and his giant hamster sidekick from the Baldur’s Gate series, will be assisting players on their journey by educating them about the Elemental Evil cults.
Content Designers Scott Crawford and Brian Gillmore have posted a new developer blog on the Neverwinter site that gives players both lore and design backgrounds on the Drowned Shore zone (formerly known as "Blackdagger Ruins) that will arrive with Module 6: Elemental Evil.
The Cryptic team will be on hand during a special Neverwinter live stream to show off the game on XBox One. The operational XBox One beta is expected to begin later today and players are invited to apply and to attend tomorrow’s stream event. The team will be on hand to answer questions from the community regarding the beta and about Neverwinter itself.
Cryptic Studios has published a brand new developer design blog that centers around the Oathbound Paladin, the new class coming with the Elemental Evil module. The post goes into detail about the two distinctive Paragon paths the Oathbound Paladin can take, either as a healer or as a tank.
