The upcoming July update of New World brings with it one of the MMO’s most interesting additions yet: musical instruments. We chatted with Amazon Game Studios about the faire and the addition of the instrument mechanic, as well as dove in ourselves on the PTR to perform some songs of our own.
New World is fixing an exploit and some invisible nuisances in its latest patch, happening overnight.
Amazon Game Studios recently did a deep dive on New World’s upcoming July update, continuing their trend of giving more information about the updates to fans directly. The video, which is a little over 40 minutes long, talks about the upcoming Barnacles & Black Powder expedition, as well as the Summer Medleyfaire event.
The XP Extravaganza will bring back five types of big XP bonuses to New World for the July 4th weekend.
The next update for New World will be coming overnight, and this week brings another round of PVP reward adjustments, some bug fixes, including a fix for main storyline progress and one with storage.
The next cycle of the PTR is open for New World. Test out the Summer Medleyfaire Event, New Barnacles & Blackpowder Expedition, and a slew of rebalances for loot, gear, and the new expedition group finder.
New World continues its latest June bonus event, this time for Refining. The game’s next update will also roll out overnight, and this week’s patch is focused on fixes. Notably, there isn’t much by way of PvP tweaking going on this time around.
