Advance Guard have just dropped the trailer for Abuget Cup 2015.  Part of the Beast of the East Tour, Abuget Cup is also the first Capcom Pro Tour ranking event for the South East Asia region for 2015.

The Abuget Cup is Indonesia’s premiere fighting game tournament with some of the best players in the country as well as from the rest of the region coming to fight. Its inclusion in the Capcom Pro Tour should help bring attention to these fighters, many of whom have yet to gain recognition in outside the region.

With so much focus on their King of Fighters series, it’s sometimes easy to forget that SNK’s fighting empire started with the original Fatal Fury back in 1991. Now, Italian fan studio SEEP have taken the old game, and remade it as a 2D beat ‘em up.

Fatal Fury Final is a fan-game that retells the story of the original Fatal Fury. Instead of a traditional fighter, however, the game has been turned into a sidescroller where the playable characters go through various hordes of thugs.

The game retains the old school Neo-Geo aesthetic, so much so that it could be mistaken for an old, unreleased game. Aside from the regular story mode, the game also has a South Town Quest mode that allows players to use not just the original three playable characters, but the non-playable bosses as well.

If you’re a fan of the original though, never fear, because the regular one-on-one gameplay can still be selected in a separate mode.

Some time ago, we reported that Bandai Namco Games and Arc System Works were working on a brand new Dragon Ball Z based 2D fighting game for the Nintendo 3DS. Now for those Japanese 3DS owners interested in picking this up, the latest issue of V Jump has confirmed that Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will be hitting Japanese stores on June 11.

First print copies of the game will include a Golden Frieza disc for use in the Dragon Ball Discross arcade game, a movie Goku card for use in the Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game, as well as a download code for Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2 Super Nintendo game for the 3DS’s Virtual Console.

In addition to this, players with save data from Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 on their Nintendo 3DS will be able to use Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta.

Finally, for those interested in trying the game out, a QR code to download a demo of the game will be included in next month’s issue of V Jump.

Here’s some great news for people eagerly awaiting the next round of confirmations for Mortal Kombat X. Early this morning, the Russian edition of MAXIM magazine posted a trailer the game’s new “Shaolin” trailer a bit earlier than expected.

The trailer in question focuses on the Shaolin characters, Kung Lao, who was revealed last January, and newly confirmed Liu Kang who, like Kung Lao, has also fallen under the control of the elder god Shinnok.

In addition to Liu and Kung however, the trailer also shows newcomer, Kung Jin who was shown in NetherRealm’s last stream. Unlike the other two Shaolin, Kung Jin wields a bow which he uses to great effect, either by lobbing arrows, or using the bow itself as a weapon.

Other things shown in the trailer include a cameo by Bo’ Rai Cho, new looks for some of the returning cast, as well as some hints as to the game’s story.
