Overwatch is sunsetting a feature that it helped define since its launch in 2016: loot boxes. Next month, after the conclusion of the current anniversary event, loot boxes will no longer be purchasable.

Players will be able to join and take part in a Overwatch 2’s persistent, always-evolving live service game on Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4/5, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
