Since launching on Steam, adding 33 more countries to the initial North American PC and Xbox One launch, SEGA has announced that the venerable Japanese MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 has surpassed one million players.

Phantasy Star Online 2 has begun a collaboration event with Atlus’s popular Persona franchise. The collaboration will bring new costumes, hair styles, paint, accessories, room items and music from Persona 3, 4 and 5.

Phantasy Star Online 2’s long awaited release on Steam has finally come, hitting the global PC platform today. With this move, PSO2 is now available in 35 countries world wide.

Much of the issues surrounding Phantasy Star Online 2 on Windows 10 has been due to the poor implementation of the Windows Store apps. Players have had to find work arounds just to get the MMO running in an acceptable manner. Thankfully, that (hopefully) will be a thing of the past as PSO2 hits Steam next week.

Sega has announced a new collaboration between Phantasy Star Online 2 and manga and anime movie franchise, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World.

The Independence Day Event for Phantasy Star Online 2 is now live on PC and Xbox One.

Phantasy Star Online 2 has revealed that Episode 4 content will be released in August, marking its first big content update.
