Everyone has a fighting chance
In Ash of Gods: Redemption, the world is swiftly thrown into chaos. Those known as Reapers have come back after over 700 years of being gone. They seek to drown the world in blood to awaken the sleeping Gods. The story centers around three main characters (Guard Caption Thorn Brenin, the bodyguard Lo Pheng, and the scribe Hopper Rouley), the people they meet along the way to their journey to stop the chaos.
The event was complete with a firing range for slingshots and crossbows, ATVs, a meet and greet with everyone’s new favorite in-game pup, Boomer and a supervillain style helicopter entrance from the game’s charismatic preacher: The Father, Joseph Seed. But you’re not here to see what kind of party Ubisoft throws… you’re here for the game.
The Warhammer Universe is difficult to describe in just a few words. It is a massive, sprawling beast that encompasses gods, men, and monsters. Sick of zombie survival games? We all are. But don’t let that deter you from keeping an eye on Dead Maze, a new isometric animated MMORPG from indie developer Atelier 801. It’s a 2D MMO that will be F2P (free to play) when it launches in the coming weeks, and we’ve spent a little time with its closed beta. What we found is a surprisingly robust-featured game that takes a unique story-oriented approach at what’s traditionally just a “kill or be killed” genre.

At PAX South we got the chance to sit down with REND and go through some of their latest updates. For those who may not know, REND captures the essence of a survival game with strong PvP concepts and crafting.
