Spellbreak, a late to the scene battle royale is making quite the splash in on gaming sites lately and for good reason. Out of the development team at Proletariat Inc, previously responsible for a semi-popular Twitch plugin called Stream Legends, has spent the last few years working on their own unique take on the battle royale genre and the results are in and it’s a homerun in my book.

Marvel’s Avengers is in a unique predicament. Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the game, faces Infinity War level odds at delivering a premiere, iconic experience, that resonates with fans, and engages gamers, with an intellectual property that is widely beloved, harshly judged, and ever changing. Fans can be a game’s greatest champions, or their harshest critics, but as this review will attest, sometimes a fan can be both.

In February of 2012 Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning entered the vast RPG arena, looking to dethrone Skyrim and the other top role-playing games of the era. In 2020 THQ Nordic has taken the mantle, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning re-inserts the epic adventure into the spotlight, and the game holds up extremely well.
