The v2.0.1 update has been successfully deployed to Secret World Legends. Among other things, adjustments have been made in the overall Aurum or Marks of Favor costs with players being reimbursed the difference for certain purchases. In addition, the first part of the Elite Dungeon System has been brought on board.

Now that Secret World Legends has a few days under its belt, the developers are ready to unveil some of the things that players can expect when patch v2.0.1 debuts. Most, if not all, of the changes coming in the update are in response to player feedback, most notably changes directed to “new players, monetization, loot rewards and the Patron system”.

Funcom has announced that Secret World Legends has officially launched worldwide for PC users. It is a fully F2P game with an in-game item shop that is a “reimagined and reborn” version of the company’s MMO, The Secret World. The core game play has been overhauled to make it more accessible to players with a more intuitive progression system, a better quest flow, a revamped combat system and much more.

With the launch of Secret World Legends coming in mere minutes, players have been wondering about the benefits of becoming a Patron. Game Director Romain Amiel has a great graphic to show off exactly what is in store for anyone choosing to become a SWL patron.

Secret Worlds Legends is prepping for its head start today. While not allowing characters from The Secret World to be transferred into SWL, there is the Legacy Transfer System that will bring a number of things to the new game. To help TSW players make sure their things are moved successfully, Funcom has produced a handy guide.

In preparation for the launch of Secret World Legends, Funcom has started a new “alternate reality game”, or ARG, called Kiss of the Revenant. Players will be challenged to solve puzzles and mysteries that give players an opportunity to check out a tragic love story along the Savage Coast. By participating in decryption of the clues and performing a ritual, players will craft and exclusive set of weapons that can be used in SWL when it launches.

Secret World Legends is opening today for anyone in good standing with The Secret World. Invites will be sent out today and players can join the beta immediately. Keep your eyes on your mailboxes.

The Secret Worlds Legends Twitter has been updated with this post, “As a thank-you for your support in TSW, you are invited to a head start of Secret World Legends beginning on June 23rd”. After reaching out to Funcom, we now know that “this is for previous The Secret World players and those who signed up for the beta (application is still open)”.

Funcom has posted an extensive article on the Secret World Legends site to answer the question, “What is free to play?” The team wanted to lay out in detail exactly what is meant by the term, particularly in light of more than a few questions from the community.

Funcom has released a new trailer for Secret World Legends that reveals the launch day as June 26th. The game will be launched as a completely free-to-play title. Secret World Legends is a “shared-world roleplaying game” that is a revamp of Funcom’s original MMO, The Secret World.
