Today’s a big day for World of Warcraft’s North American community with the arrival of v8.1.5. Most notably, the update is anchored by the arrival of the Zandalari Trolls and Kul Tiran Humans. In addition, players will find a retooled Brawler’s Guild, the continuation of the War Campaign, Warlords of Draenor timewalking, the Crucible of Storms raid and the reemergence of Wintergrasp as an Epic Battleground.

World of Warcraft: Classic Will be Split Into Six Phases Starting with Onyxia & Molten Core
When World of Warcraft: Classic launches this summer, it will be parsed out into six phases, up from the original four when it was announced. The decision to divide it differently came as a result of inner “deliberations” and based on player feedback. “Were aiming to capture what it felt like to play in a realm community in original WoW. To do that, we’re planning to mirror the approach taken by original WoW through patch 1.2.x,” the latest community update reads.
World of Warcraft Portal Removal in 8.1.5 Sparks a Firestorm of Controversy
While World of Warcraft v8.1.5 adds a lot of new content, it also will be removing things from the game. In this case, many of the portals that get players around Azeroth in a timely fashion are being taken out to keep “the world having a meaningful size”. However, this design decision has sparked a massive backlash with the community, with several threads topping the 5,000 response mark. A new dev post acknowledges the outcry but essentially says, “Sorry, not sorry. We’re sticking to it.”

In a new post on the WoW site, devs provide a preview of the new bosses, the murder mystery questline and the new rewards that brawlers can earn by rising through the ranks.
The World of Warcraft Classic Community Updated on Recent Development
The World of Warcraft Classic forum has a new “blue post” from the team about what it has been working on most recently. “The feedback we got from the demo was fantastic.” The team has been spending the intervening months culling through demo feedback compiled by community members and “wanted to share a few anecdotes with you so you can see how we’re tracking these issues”. Anecdotes include health regeneration, Warlock demon summoning and high-priority bug fixes.

Players enter a variety of tidbits of information about their past adventures in WoW in order to be added to a list that others can search through to find buddies from days of yore.
World of Warcraft 8.1.5 is Coming Out on March 12th with Zandalari Trolls & Kul Tiran Humans
The long wait is finally over: World of Warcraft will be updated to v8.1.5 on March 12th. Along with a bundle of big changes coming to the game, players will at last be able to create both Zandalari Trolls and Kul Tiran Humans. That comes with a caveat, of course: Players will need to ensure that they have completed the unlock requirements before they can create their first character of either of the two Allied Races. Each race has its own set of requirements.
Jaina Down for the Count as Method Takes Mythic World First in World of Warcraft Raid
Method has once again claimed the unofficial “world first” mythic difficulty raid clear in World of Warcraft. The raid team finally defeated Jaina, the final boss of the Dazar’alor raid. The race had seemingly stalled about five days ago and over twenty guilds sat at 8 of 9 bosses defeated. Jaina has been a frosty pain in the neck until today.
