One of the most stable and popular tanks in the game, Blood Death Knights bring a special combination of crowd aggro and survivability to the table. As with all things Death Knight in the past couple of expansions, the line between each specialization has blurred with crossover skills and abilities. Blizzard aims to change the basic way that Death Knights play, while remaining confident that their core fantasy is well in hand.

Introduced in the Mists of Pandaria expansion, monks have become popular, though seemingly less-so than Blizzard may have hoped. A cursory look at statistical information reveals that monks are the least-played class in WoW, something that Blizzard hopes to turn around in Legion. Clearly Blizzard is vested in streamlining the class overall. With WindWalker monks, this means a realignment of talents and simplifying the statistical background of core skills.

Retribution Paladins are ferocious warriors that utilize the powers of the Light to bring destructions on enemies via the use of 2-handed weapons. Up to Legion, Retri Paladins have been, surprisingly enough, fairly adept at the use of several strong ranged and healing abilities. In Legion, that will change to make them, as seems to fit the fantasy better, into close- and short-combat melee crusaders.

A wily World of Warcraft: Legion alpha tester has found, believe it or not, a Diablo 3 Treasure Goblin. Sadly, the little bugger was a level 110 with the user being only 101 so no grabbing hold of all gold…though the icon above the counter at the bottom of the screen looks suspiciously like a garrison resource icon. This makes some of us sad pandas.

The spotlight of this overview is the Enhancement Shaman, a powerful close-range fighter and the only mail-wearing melee spec currently present in the game, soon to be joined by Survival Hunters in the Legion.

Today we’ll take a look at the Guardian Druid, a tank class that takes on bear form and that Blizzard wants to become less attuned to agility tanking and to become able "to survive through their sheer tenacity, thick hide, massive resilience, and strong regeneration".

For savvy World of Warcraft players and Final Fantasy fans, the Aerith character has been living in Dalaran for quite some time. In the latest alpha build for Legion, however, she is now joined by none other than Cloud, yet another in Blizzard’s many nods to the wider gaming culture.

The first big update for the World of Warcraft: Legion alpha client has gone off just last night, but the forums are already aflame with the bits and pieces of upcoming expansion datamined or tried out in the latest build. This overview is focused on one of three specializations of Hunter class: Beast Mastery.

From all that Blizzard has said, Death Knights are in a pretty good place overall as far as capturing the class fantasy but that some things needed tuning to bring more variety in the way Blood, Frost and Unholy Death Knights play. For our purposes today, we’ll take a look at the Frost Death Knight since it is the one that will undergo the most significant change in Legion with the removal of the spec’s ability to use 2-handed weapons.
