Two of the world’s favorite icons have come together in a new fan made video that gives World of Warcraft the Game of Thrones intro treatment. Made by Marc Ottensmann, the video is a short look at several of WoW’s capital cities, though sadly not all. Check it out and let’s hope the creator finishes it.
Blizzard has revealed the virtual contents of the 2015 Blizzcon goodie bag, the gift given to attendees and virtual ticket holders. This year’s virtual items include the Murkidan battle pet for WoW, the Nexus Battle Beast mount for HotS, a new Blizzard 2015 card back for Hearthstone, two new Starcraft II portraits, and a Blizzcon pennant, pet and portrait for Diablo III.
Blizzard has announced a new partnership deal with mega-publisher Random House to bring brand new novels from each of its main franchises, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. To introduce the philosophy behind the new novels and how they enhance and expand the game worlds. Check it out!
A few months ago, Blizzard announced that 100,000 player accounts had been temporarily banned for up to six months for using bots. While arguably not actually solving the entire issue, it was a significant slap to bot users everywhere.
In a new report at Collider.com, it appears that there is growing tension between Universal Studios and Warcraft movie studio Legendary. The report indicates that Warcraft and a pair of other Legendary films currently in development are considered "problem movies", though what exactly this means remains unknown.
The World of Warcraft Americas Region Arena Championships will be held this coming weekend on September 12-13 with teams competing for the $100,000 prize pool. The top three teams will advance to the World Championships to be held at this year’s Blizzcon in November.
