Everyone has a fighting chance
In an official post on the World of Warcraft site the team outlined new improvements coming in Patch 6.2 to how itemization will work. Essentially the two biggest changes are coming to the Personal Loot system and itemization improvements from bosses in the new Hellfire Citadel raid.
Blizzard has announced a special new contest based around the recent additions to World of Warcraft that include the S.E.L.F.I.E. camera and Twitter integration. Players are invited to take and submit their best selfies in order to win weekly prizes and even the opportunity to score Blizzcon tickets.
It has been quite a while since Blizzard issued a large number of World of Warcraft bans but last week saw that lull end with over 100,000 player accounts being blocked for bot usage. The most common program for which players were censured was the Honorbuddy bot program that essentially automates play during PvP matches and with plug ins that can also make certain PvE tasks automatic as well.
Blizzard is taking an aggressive stance against players using "honor bot" programs and has recently banned over 100,000 user accounts for six months for violating the Terms of Use. Community manager Bashiok took to the forums to explain Blizzard’s reasons for the ban stating that a fair and equitable play experience is paramount.
Laid off during the transition from Sony Online Entertainment to Daybreak Game Company, former EverQuest Next content designer Steve Danuser is now working as a senior designer with Blizzard and working on World of Warcraft. The news comes via Danuser’s Twitter as seen below.
World of Warcraft is celebrating a fantastic cultural phenomenon today by remembering everyone’s favorite charge into battle moment: LEEEEROY JENKINS! It was such a brilliantly funny moment that perfectly captured the grace and strategy of WoW raiding that Blizzard even named a pair of achievements after the erstwhile player (both classic and modern versions) after the erstwhile player. Those finishing the achievement are granted the "Jenkins" title.
Gamasutra is reporting that World of Warcraft lost nearly three million subscribers by the end of March 2015. After the launch of Warlords of Draenor, Blizzard reported over ten million subscribers which makes the 7.1M a precipitous decline in only a few months.

Blizzard has announced that the WoW Token will be headed to the EU Region on April 21st after normal maintenance (approximately 5:00 pm CET). WoW Tokens will cost 20 Euro and buyers will be able to place the tokens for sale on the special regional auction house. The initial price to purchase a token that can be traded for 30-days subscription time will be 35,000 gold.

The event will take place on the official World of Warcraft Twitch.tv channel at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern.
