Blizzard has formally closed its deal to acquire Proletariat, and there’s a brand new blog from Warcraft general manager John Hight, discussing their reasons for acquiring the Spellbreak developer.
As World of Warcraft Classic inches ever closer to Wrath of the Lich King, the beta test is in full swing. As of yesterday, players will be able to level their beta character to 80 and test features such as flying as well as the Death Knight starting zone.
Blizzard has acquired Spellbreak developer Proletariat, which will become part of Blizzard and work on World of Warcraft content. Spellbreak will shut down in early 2023.
When Wrath of the Lich King Classic releases, there will be "Some Changes", according to Blizzard, which has a new devblog outlining design philosophy pillars and how the team arrived at leaving room to adjust for the experience.
Wrath of the Lich King Classic beta is now on for World of Warcraft Classic. The next expansion will be out this year, and those opted into receiving beta invites on their accounts may see invites coming in.
Blizzard announced this morning that the upcoming expansion for World of Warcraft, Dragonflight, is now available for pre-order, listing prices and content for three separate versions. Additionally, Blizzard confirmed that players will experience Dragonflight sometime this year.
After announcing that the upcoming World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King Classic would have Fresh Start servers, Blizzard is responding to some community feedback over transfers.
