Eternity’s End is now live for World of Warcraft, with the huge update bringing Shadowlands to a close.

World of Warcraft is finally breaking down one of the walls that has helped define its gameplay for almost twenty years as the studio announced earlier this week it was going to be allowing cross-faction dungeons in the MMORPG. The long-standing separation that has stood in its player-base is being eroded: the segmenting of the playerbase along Alliance and Horde battlelines.

One of the defining characteristics of World of Warcraft has been its faction divide. Horde and Alliance players separate, competing against each other for the most part throughout the life of the MMO. However, in a new blog post, Blizzard is starting to do away with that, bringing cross-faction instances to the MMORPG.
