The King of Fighters XIV Patch 1.03 Combo Roundup

The latest patch to the fan-favorite King of Fighters XIV has definitely shaken the game up. Players all over are exploring their new possibilities –or lamenting their nerfs–and posting about their findings online. Here, we’ve rounded up what we could find concerning new combos in the latest build. Enjoy!

First up we have a 100% Joe Higashi combo, thanks to the buff in damage he got to his EX Corkscrew Upper.

Dedicated KOFer Gato Ray hasn’t been sleeping on the latest patch either, posting several combo videos delving into this new version of the game.

We also have a 4 bar Iori combo, uploaded through Frionel’s Twitter.

Next up, we have someone going through several characters to see what differences there are to combos from the previous build of the game. Quite a few characters are covered here.

We have another Twitter upload next, from @AGNativeimpact, featuring a heavy damage Ralf combo.

We also have some K’ stuff, who despite everything seems to be shaping up fairly. He’s even got an 100%!

Finally, we have a Love Heart exhibition. We are shown her combos pre and post patch, to give a good idea of how she changed with the patch.

HORI Hayabusa Silent Optical Joystick Now Available at Arcade Shock

For many folks who play fighting games at night, silenced arcade sticks are a must so that any sleeping loved ones aren’t disturbed by furious QCF motions. Most of these sticks use special silenced push buttons with padding to cut down on the noise. However, even with these, there’s one other part that causes noise in an arcade stick – the joystick itself

With most of the noise from an arcade stick lever coming from its micro switches, the best choice is to use one ditches those switches in favor of an optical sensor. One such joystick is the HORI Hayabusa Silent Optical Joystick.

Now available for the first time ever over at Arcade Shock, the Hayabusa Silent Optical is based on the proven Hayabusa arcade stick, but uses a special set of optical sensors instead of micro switches. The optical sensors help cut down on the noise while the proven Hayabusa body and low contact pivot make for a longer lasting, more durable arcade stick.

The HORI Hayabusa Silent Optical Joystick is now available over at Arcade Shock for $59.99.  Interested players however should try to get these as soon as possible as stocks are very limited.
