The Year is 20XX – Is This the Future of Super Smash Bros. Melee?

The joke has long been that the future of Super Smash Bros. Melee will be the year 20XX, where everyone has learned to perfectly optimize their Fox play, and all tournaments are decided by a series of Rock-Paper-Scissors matches.

The reality of 20XX is a modified version of Melee that is designed to help players improve, thanks to a whole suite of tools that really assist in getting to the guts of what’s going on in your game.

Super Smash Academy have taken a bit of time to really break down what 20XX is, how the tournament edition differs from the original and–most importantly–poses the question of whether it now it may indeed be the future of Melee. Have a look at the breakdown below.

Star Citizen: Sandi Gardiner Stops Social Media Over Targeted Harrassment

Star Citizen VP of Marketing Sandi Gardiner is “taking a break from social media” over what she calls “ongoing online targeted harassment”. No further information is given, but many in a Reddit thread of support for Ms Gardiner attribute the issue to a certain vitriolic element that has been loudly critical of Star Citizen, Chris Roberts, the game’s development, and ostensible mismanagement of finances earned through KickStarter and later fundraising campaigns.

Shock the Competition in Street Fighter V with These Electrifying Laura Resets

Street Fighter V is still going strong after Evo, especially with Juri just being recently released. Through all the hype of shiny new characters, dedicated Laura players are still out there–despite being considered low tier, Laura has a lot of tricky setups that she can perform once she lands the hit.

YouTuber Paulo Junior took the time to show off some of the Brazillian grappler’s meaner mix-ups. She has cross-unders, pre-block traps, crossovers, meaty mixups, and more.
