Ibuki’s Alternate Street Fighter V Costume Leaks at Recent Winner Stays On Session

Since attendees at Winner Stays On sessions have been getting a look at Street Fighter V’s new characters before they officially release for quite some time, it came as no surprise that Ibuki players like F-Word were allowed to take their favorite kunoichi for a spin well before her expected June release in their most recent meeting.

But, as these early looks sometimes go, the event wasn’t flawless. Midway through the stream, while idling on the character select screen with Ibuki chosen, someone accidentally wiggled around her costume options, inadvertently unveiling her upcoming alternate costume.

While the footage is brief–and admittedly small, as the commentators were the focus in the shot at the time–we do get the quickest glimpse at what appears to be a white top of some variety, as well as her unmasked face. It’s not much to go on, but it is exciting to know that this upcoming fighter is willing to take a break from her serious ninja duds from time to time.

Sonic Fox Shows Off the Power of Street Fighter V’s F.A.N.G in these Sets with NuckleDu, Alex Valle, and Filipino Champ

It’s no secret that F.A.N.G is regarded as one of the weaker characters currently in Street Fighter V. However, a few players, such as Kindevu, YOMI|Dieminion, RZR|Xian and cR|Sonic Fox have shown some of the latent potential of Shadaloo’s self-proclaimed Number Two, utilizing the Poison Hand master’s wide array of muti-hitting normals, Ryobendas, and a seemingly endless assault of Nisikyakus to pepper their adversaries with unavoidable poison damage as they struggle to break through his full-screen zoning game.

At Final Round, Fox eliminated NuckleDu from the event, besting his Nash 2-0 to send him packing at 9th place, while he continued to Top 8. Recently, he and NuckleDu met online for a Final Round runback, but this time in a Battle Lounge first-to-ten!

He has also battled other top players, such as Level Up’s Alex Valle and Panda Global’s Filipino Champ.

With big events like CEO and, of course, Evo looming, this is a great way to see what a generally rare character at this point in the game’s life is capable of at the highest level of play.

R. Mika Teams Up with Zangief, and Spider-Gwen Swings Into Street Fighter V in these PC Costume Mods

The PC community for Street Fighter V has provided quite a few costume mods for the game’s cast of characters since its launch. In this new mod from TheJamk, feisty wrestler R. Mika gets her greatest wish granted, entering the ring in her own Red Cyclone-themed outfit with her idol Zangief as her tag partner. The protector of the Russian skies takes on Nadeshiko’s role with plenty of Muscle Spirit.

TheJamk isn’t finished though: we also get this version of Cammy, reskinned as Marvel Comic’s Spider-Gwen. Cammy’s swift acrobatics seem very well-suited to the webspinning heroine, channeling the original Spidey from the MvC series, and giving us a glimpse of what a Marvel vs. Capcom 4 could look like, if Spider-Gwen made it into the character roster.

Check out these other mods for Cammy and R. Mika, or learn how to install mods into your own SFV game.
