Wrap Your Fists Around a Playable Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Demo at Participating GameStops This Evening
Only one week remains until Super Smash Bros. for Wii U makes its North American debut. Fans of the series have already had their hands on the 3DS version of the game since early October, but some individuals are understandably looking forward to putting the title on a bigger screen with a higher resolution. There’s just something enticing about a Lucario the size of your head.
If you can’t wait until then to play the newest offering in this long-running series, you’re in luck, because GameStops across America will be running demos of the game beginning tonight at 6 PM. While not every store in the country will be boasting a playable demo of the classic-to-be, there’s likely one within a several mile radius of where you live; there’s one about 3 miles from me and I live in the middle of nowhere.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is scheduled to land in North America on November 21. Releases in Europe and Japan will follow on November 28 and December 6, respectively.
Get Ready for Absolute Battle 5 With This New Trailer from Versus Gameplay
The folks over at Versus Gameplay have just dropped the trailer for their upcoming tournament, Absolute Battle 5. This 5th installment of the Texas based tournament features a number of competitive video games, both fighting games as well as other genres.
Among the fighting games featured in the tournament, we have some tournament stalwarts such as Ultra Street Fighter IV, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Injustice Gods Among Us, Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate, BlazBlue Chronophantasma, Killer Instinct, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, as well as classic party fighter Super Smash Bros. Melee.
At stake is over $3,500 in pot bonuses including $1,000 for Ultra Street Fighter IV, $1,000 for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, $1,000 for Super Smash Bros. Melee, and $500 for Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Persona Brings the Pain with Latest King of Fighters Combo Exhibition feat. Shen Woo
If you’re a fan of King of Fighters XIII combos that are as flashy as they are damaging, this latest exhibition from Persona might just make your day. Not only does Persona deliver the quality combos that their name has come to be synonymous with, but they do so at a beautiful 60 frames per second.
The video below puts Shen Woo in the spotlight and Persona is able to use the fighter to KO opponents in fairly small strings of blows. There are, however, some combos that finish with alarmingly small hit counters when considering the damage output. For example, near the end of the video, Persona is able to put down Duo Lon in only four hits. Granted, there’s an incredible amount of meter involved, but this does prove that Shen Woo’s damage is nothing to take lightly.

In a game full of interesting characters, Ms. Fortune arguably ranks near the top of the weirdness chart in Skullgirls Encore. Her ability to detach her head in the middle of a fight allows the feline combatant to chain together some furious combos and resets that can deal catastrophic damage.
That said, being able to pull these combos off isn’t easy. To help new players out, Skippy McYay recently put together a tutorial video that teaches players how to beat down their opponents when Fortune is in separate pieces. Apart from the combos, they also demonstrate how to properly use her cranium to head off any reversal or escape attempts.

In this latest addition to his Marvel Vines series, Red Man teamed up with Psycho Ballz to catch some crazy Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 combos on film for your viewing pleasure. As with previous entries to the series, this video focuses on a single point character–C. Viper in this case–and offers up as many stylish, high-execution combos as can be crammed into the space of about a minute and a half.
Though the video may be short, Psycho Ballz holds nothing back when it comes to flashy maneuvers. Get ready for ground pounds, flame kicks and even some optic blasts as Viper unleashes her best secret agent technology on her unsuspecting opponents.
