Pokkén Tournament Headed to Wii U in Spring 2016

Nintendo has just announced that Pokkén Tournament, the Pokémon fighter developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco, will be heading to Wii U next year.

Pokkén Tournament originally landed in Japanese arcades on July 16, allowing players to face off with a limited cast consisting of Lucario, Machamp, Suicune, Gardevoir, Pikachu, Gengar, Weavile, and Charizard. A recent update also added Blaziken to the playable roster. Battles play out in a mixture of 3D arena and traditional 2D styles, accentuated with assists from Emolga, Fennekin, Snivy, Frogadier, and more.

Fans across the world can expect Pokkén Tournament to grace their Wii Us in spring 2016. While you wait, feel free to check out the official announcement below.
