Useful Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Setup Helps Guarantee Hard Tags for Vergil and Spencer Anywhere on Screen

Given the correct positioning, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s Vergil can set up a hard tag that allows another character on his team to come in and finish off his target. Thanks to a new bit of tech from e mc involving Spencer, the half-demon son of Sparda can now pull off this setup anywhere on the screen.

In the footage below, you’ll see e mc execute the setup a couple of times. In each instance, after Spencer lines up the target, Vergil hard tags so that Doctor Strange can come in and clean up with palm loops.

Could Spencer and Vergil be better pals than Spencer and Nova? It’s looking like that may now be the case!

Elena Pumps Up the Volume in Another Stylish Ultra Street Fighter IV Combo Video

Despite having a dance-like, Capoeira inspired moveset, Elena isn’t really a character known for stylish combos in Ultra Street Fighter IV. Most of her combo paths are fairly straightforward and her unique normals actually make it hard to string together combos outside of those avenues.

After putting out impressive videos for Poison, Balrog, and even Dan, Cjbqulix has taken on the Elena challenge in his latest exhibition. The video in question showcases combos that use multiple EX moves, some that incorporate the fighter’s Healing, and, of course, some that are set up with Decapre’s Psycho Stream.

MCZ|Daigo Umehara, BE|Nemo, and -6 Top Recent Ultra Street Fighter IV Arcade Rankings

It’s been some time since we’ve had an update on Ultra Street Fighter IV’s arcade rankings, but fans of Japanese players should be happy to know that Game Fighter recently uploaded footage from Freedom Yokohama Arcade that shows a list of the top players and the characters that they favor.

Nine different characters made it into the top ten this time around, running the spectrum from the overwhelming power of MCZ|Daigo Umehara’s Evil Ryu and BE|Nemo’s Rolento to the thoughtful play exhibited by -6’s Poison and Cantona’s Zangief. While this list may not be an accurate representation of how the game’s balance plays out in every situation, it is a good indicator that the roster is far from dominated by a single character.

It should also be noted that this video captures the rankings as they were on October 31, so it’s very likely they have shifted since then.
