Dragon Age: Inquisition’s Reputation Grind

The video games industry is relatively porous, and it’s no secret that its subgenres have been borrowing from one another for quite some time. First-person behemoths like Call of Duty have been iteratively employing RPG-like mechanics to bolster their replayability, while MMORPGs such as TERA have taken cues from third-person action games to improve upon traditional MMO combat.

Bloodborne: Eerie Settings Mark Environments

The PlayStation blog has been updated with tons of new screens to show off Bloodborne’s locations and environments. The game will wander from traditional fantasy to more modern gothic settings, all of which eerily evoke a sense of horror as is fitting for a game made by the creators of Dark Souls.

Skullgirls Encore Arcade Location Tests Scheduled for November 28-30 in Japan

Last year, it was revealed that Skullgirls would appear in Japanese arcades courtesy of Taito’s NESiCAxLive network. While it was originally scheduled to release in August 2013, that month and those that followed came and went without any updated information about the title. Fortunately, news broke today that should definitely reignite the hopes of the indie fighter’s eastern following.

According to a recent announcement, Japanese publisher M2 will be holding special Skullgirls Encore location tests at Osaka’s Taito Station and Akihabara Hey in Tokyo the weekend of November 28. This will allow fans to get their hands on the port and provide feedback on how well it has transitioned from consoles to arcade.

While no word has been given as to when Skullgirls Encore will officially release in arcades, this is definitely a huge step towards achieving that goal.

ETC|Mcfly Raises the Bar in High-Execution Mortal Kombat 9 Combo Exhibition

Mcfly of Elite Tournament Chile is back with another Mortal Kombat combo video. This time, the MK combo master captured a multitude of characters doling out insane damage to their opponents, sometimes even topping the 80% mark.

Many of these combos involve setups that are so impractical that they’ll only ever be seen in combo videos, but that doesn’t make them any less entertaining. Look forward to Shang Tsung changing forms mid-combo, Reptile tossing out some assists that work seamlessly to add extra juggles, and a whole lot more.

The Analogue NEO uses Japanese Seimitsu levers and buttons, typical of SNK cabinets of the time. Additionally, it allows for all of the features found in the SNK Big Red MVS cabinet, including the ability to plug in the original physical memory card.
