ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League Week 5 Streaming Live

After a ridiculous mid-season showdown, ESL’s Mortal Kombat X competition returns to its regular weekly schedule with their fifth outing. A recent qualifier narrowed the playing field down to sixteen competitors, and those players will be going at each other’s throats tonight to prove they have what it takes to do well in this new arrival to the fighting game community.

Some of the more noteworthy names you can expect to see play tonight include RZR|Perfect Legend, Dab, Pig of the Hut, Shujinkydink, Bread, Kitana Prime, cR|WoundCowboy, and more.

Smash @ Xanadu feat. Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. 64 Streaming Live

The folks over at VGBootCamp recently went live with another installment of Smash @ Xanadu from Xanadu Games in Baltimore, Maryland. These weekly broadcasts provide a great look at the region’s Smash community, and tonight’s installment will feature competition in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. 64.

In addition to the usual faces, west coast player Weston “Westballz” Denton is in attendance, so be on the look out for his Falco during the tournament tonight.

Nintendo Holding Super Smash Bros. Presentation on June 14

This Sunday, Nintendo are set to present another of their popular Direct broadcasts, this time focused entirely on Super Smash Bros. and hosted by series director Masahiro Sakurai.

Details are pretty scarce as to what they will show, but it’s a pretty safe bet we’ll receive some more gameplay footage of upcoming downloadable character Lucas (who is scheduled to release that same day). There’s also the distinct possibility Nintendo will have announcements concerning recent discoveries of music for Street Fighter’s Ryu and Roy of Fire Emblem fame, or maybe even the results of the ongoing character poll.

Whatever the case may be, this is sure to be pretty important as we head into E3 2015, so be sure to tune in at 7:40 AM PDT, 10:40 AM EDT, 2:40 PM GMT to catch all the details live.
