Tekken 7 landed in arcades just a few short months ago, and that’s given longtime competitors the chance to see what it’s all about. Of course, just like every new game, folks are going to provide their thoughts on how the cast shakes out in high-level play, and one well-known name in particular recently came forward to share his opinion.

Yuu, a strong Feng player who won Tougeki’s Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection tournament with No Respect teammates Sho and Jiro in 2006, has provided frequent updates on his time with Tekken 7 through a personal blog. One of the most recent entries has to do with a personal tier list, showing how he thinks the game’s individual characters stack up against one another.

There’s definitely a few things to keep in mind here. Tier lists, in and of themselves, can be highly subjective, especially without input from a wide variety of players. The following data is entirely influenced by Yuu, who may have his own specific ideas of what makes someone strong depending on his personal playstyle, the character he uses, and numerous other factors.

That being said, we haven’t seen a torrent of this kind of information spread out from Japan since Tekken 7 launched in March, and it’s interesting see what someone of Yuu’s skill level thinks of the cast’s interesting collection of newcomers and veterans.
