Brush Up on Some Corner Fireball Strategies in Ultra Street Fighter IV
Today, proficient tutorial creator Bafael has graced us with yet another Ultra Street Fighter IV primer, this time going over some of the finer details of how fireballs interact in the corner.
While other attacks may push the user away from a cornered opponent, fireballs don’t. This means that most are punishable, but due to the general safety of their EX versions, this can lead to some interest combos should you find yourself in that situation. Some even open up guaranteed chip opportunities if the opponent’s health is low enough.
In the video below, Bafael covers a number of these combos, which include options for Dan, Juri, Dee Jay, Guile, Poison, Rose, and more. Those of you with a ton of Street Fighter experience will likely find some of these a little beneath your expertise, but much like Bafael’s previous efforts, it’s sure to help both novices and mid-level players add some more information to their memory banks.
