Thanks to a brand new update and a PC port on the way, the Killer Instinct community has had quite a bit to celebrate over the past week. From a competitive standpoint, however, their excitement is sure to boil over during the next round of high-level tournaments, starting later this month with Community Effort Orlando 2015.

As part of an initiative to give back to the community, Microsoft Studio s and Iron Galaxy Studios have ponied up an incredible $15,000 for the event, and now we have a clearer look at how that dough will be split. According to Microsoft creative director Adam Isgreen, the top sixteen finalists are all set to see a portion of that prize pool, with the first place finisher receiving at least $7,500.

• 1st Place – $7,500
• 2nd Place – $2,500
• 3rd Place – $1,300
• 4th Place – $800
• 5th Place – $650
• 7th Place – $500
• 9th Place – $100 each
• 13th Place – $50 each

Community Effort Orlando 2015 is scheduled for June 26-28. Online registration will be open through this Sunday, June 21, after which you will have to pay extra to register on-site.
