As fighters continues to grow as a competitive gaming genre, more and more professional teams are picking up notable players for their rosters. The latest team to do so is relative newcomer Zeveron, who recently announced that they have signed Ryota Inoue, better known as Kazunoko.

Kazunoko represents the team’s first fighting game player. Prior to this, the team was focused mostly on Blizzard’s MOBA, Heroes of the Storm.

Prior to the announcement, Zeveron had made several posts over social media teasing the fact that they would be signing a fighting game player and sending them to Evolution 2015.

According to details provided by Zeveron CEO Jeff Suddarth, Kazunoko has been signed to a year-long contract that includes a regular salary and travel, indicating that they are planning to keep the Japanese powerhouse around for some time instead of trying to cash in on quick exposure.

Hot on the heels of their “Rivals” arcade stick, Mad Catz has announced yet another variant of the Tournament Edition 2 that pays homage to one of the classic limited edition variants of the original model.

In a recent post, Mad Catz community manager and arcade stick aficionado Mark “MarkMan” Julio revealed that a new Chun-Li themed Tournament Edition 2 will be coming later this fall. This variant is a nod to their previous effort from 2010 with new art based on Street Fighter V.

As with that stick, this updated model features a blue casing with white accents, though it seems to have lost the translucency of its predecessor. It will be be compatible with both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, the latter being the only console that Street Fighter V will be coming to this generation.

The cost of this new variant has yet to be detailed, though we expect it to retail around the same $199.99 price point as the currently available Tournament Edition 2 sticks.
