Street Fighter V Beta Postponed Indefinitely
While these last few days were supposed to be an exciting time for the fighting game community as they got their first opportunity to test out Street Fighter V’s netplay, a bevy of server issues have kept all but a few from accessing the beta. In order to give themselves time to craft an experience suitable for public consumption, Capcom has decided to postpone this first beta period until a later date.
Fortunately, this won’t change much of their plans other than delaying the initial testing phase. According to a new post by Peter “Combofiend” Rosas on Capcom-Unity, there will still be thee total beta periods before Street Fighter V’s launch next spring. The developers are also in talks to provide additional incentives to players across all regions for the inconvenience these problems have caused.
As of now, this offline maintenance will continue for an indefinite amount of time. Capcom is still unsure when Street Fighter V’s servers will be ready for the massive strain, but they plan to keep us in the loop moving forward. Stay tuned for more details.

Food Poisoning and Japanese Gods Couldn’t Keep Zidane Out of Evo 2015’s Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Finals
Over the years, players have come to accept (for good or worse) that Japan will take many of the qualifying spots at the Evolution Championship Series when it comes to certain titles. While every single top eight position in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was occupied by an overseas player this year, a single American competitor was able to stem the tide in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-: Joshua “Zidane” Rodriguez.
During their time at Evo 2015, the fine folks at Hold Back to Block caught up with Zidane to hear the story of his weekend. Though fraught with obstacles like food poisoning and longtime Guilty Gear players, he was able to secure a spot in top eight alongside seven other competitors, all from Japan. For an idea of how he was able to mount such a defense with newcomer Leo Whitefang, check out the interview below.

EVE Online: Chronicles of a New Eden – A Pirate’s Life for Me!
In spaces between the relentless mercantilism of high-sec and the dynastic feuds of null-sec lies the vast swathe of low security systems; the tattered fringe of order slowly unwoven by the ruthless chaos of lawless space. While a large portion of EVE Online’s pilots avoid these systems like the plague, they have, like any region in EVE, evolved a society of their own. Helicity Boson wasn’t like other pilots. He was, from his first days, forged in the conflict of pirate space.
