Mortal Kombat X’s Quan Chi Gains Ridiculous Chip Damage with Double Spell Glitch
Mortal Kombat X is a game that’s been patched quite a bit over its lifespan, for better or worse, but a recent discovery makes a good case for these frequent updates.
During a recent broadcast, brothers Ketchup and Mustard, with the help of their viewers, uncovered a pretty devastating technique for Quan Chi that allows him to place two spells in his Sorcerer variation. Normally, the necromancer has to make do with one, but this glitch opens up some nasty possibilities like double chip damage (leading to a rather easy 100% combo), double armor, and more.
What happens is that players are capable of tricking the game into thinking there are two separate spell timers by using a specific setup to get the ball rolling. After that, pretty much anything goes, as Ketchup aptly describes in the video below.
While it does take a bit of time and planning, both players believe there are viable strategies to utilize this glitch properly. To prove this, they also released a highlight reel of the ways they were able to pull it off in online matches.

I don’t know about you, but when I hear about a new MMO announcement, my mind usually jumps straight to questions about the game’s setting, character development, and long-term developer support. These are the big-ticket items that can make or break a new title for me, but the more specific game mechanics can sometimes be overlooked… until it’s too late.
