After raising questions about its future earlier this month, former Zeveron CEO Jeff Suddarth has communicated to The Daily Dot that the competitive gaming organization is no more.
While the company’s Heroes of the Storm team had already jumped ship by the time the story broke, Suddarth was committed to keeping recent fighting game acquisition Ryota “Kazunoko” Inoue on the roster, and the two agreed to continue working together should Suddarth secure the funds owed to Kazunoko.
With this news, one can assume those plans fell through, leaving the Japanese player with nothing to show from his time with Zeveron except for a spiffy uniform.
Kazunoko is, without a doubt, one of the hottest free agents in the fighting game community today. He currently sits at eighth in our Ultra Street Fighter IV rankings, and has already secured a spot in this year’s Capcom Cup thanks to his first place finish at Community Effort Orlando 2015. If one thing is for sure at the end of this mess, it’s that Kazunoko will continue to compete–and likely, continue to win–with or without “support” from organizations like Zeveron.
