Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX IGNITION is set to swap representatives from The Irregular at Magic High School from support to playable and vice versa sometime in fall. This means that Tatsuya Shiba, who was once relegated to the assist roster, will be called up to the big leagues, and his sister Miyuki Shiba will be available in a secondary role. But don’t worry if you were used to utilizing these characters in their original positions, as their initial incarnations will be kept intact.
While pretty cool when taken by itself, this decision by the developers opens up a wide array of questions and possibilities. Will the rest of the roster receive opposite versions of themselves? I have to admit, the idea of Durarara!!’s Celty Sturleson or Accel World’s Haruyuki Arita becoming part of the main roster is rather appealing, so let’s hope Sega has bigger plans in store for this swap.
Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX IGNITION originally launched in arcades on July 28. A console port has yet to be announced.
