Early King of Fighters XIV Gameplay Shows Similarities to King of Fighters XIII

As there have only been two teasers released thus far, we know very little about King of Fighters XIV from a gameplay perspective. Much of our perception has been painted by the title’ less than impressive aesthetics, but a new video from ATRyoSakazaki shows that it may have more in common with its predecessor than we thought.

The demonstration below shows that many of the strings performed in the trailers match similar combos in King of Fighters XIII. While there’s obvious timing differences, this video shows that the upcoming title definitely plays like King of Fighters, even if it doesn’t seem to right off the bat.
