Camelot Unchained: Mutiny & a Snowstorm

A few weeks is a long time on the internet. Last time I checked one day in internet time is equal to 2 weeks real time. CSE might as well have closed up shop and cancelled the game because they went 3 whole weeks without a typical (typically huge) update, at least I heard it was that long, but I’m too cool to care.

Hex: Chronicles of Entrath Hands-On Preview

Last week, HEX Entertainment invited a handful of journalists to its Irvine office to try out the pre-release single player PvE campaign Chronicles of Entrath, from its trading card game/MMO, HEX. After roughly an hour and a half with the new mode I can say without hesitation that it’s turned me, a jaded MMO veteran, into a TCG enthusiast.

General: Master X Master – A New Direction in the MOBA Genre

Master X Master is the latest entry into the MOBA market for NCSoft. The game separates itself from the classic MOBA design by working a very strong action RPG style into its build. Players will not only be able to compete in matches, but also play through scenarios in co-op mode. Adding these two mechanics into a fresh MOBA design along with fun characters from NCSoft classics like Guild Wars and Blade & Soul, and you have a new direction in the MOBA genre.

Necropolis: Co-Op, Crafting, and More with Mitch Gitelman

Necropolis is an upcoming Action RPG with roguelike trappings, akin to the ever-popular games Dark Souls and Bloodborne. But Necropolis approaches the genre with a bit more humor, a little more irreverence, and a lot more dynamically generated dungeon romping. Read on for our interview with Harebrained Schemes’ Co-Founder and Studio Manager, Mitch Gitelman.

Best of III Talks to Hold Back to Block’s Esteban Martinez, Chris G

The Daily Dot is back with yet another edition of Best of III. This time, they talk to a couple of very interesting guests, the first of which is someone who has spent the past few years taking a close look at the fighting game community: Hold Back to Block’s Esteban Martinez, the brains behind the the documentary FGC: Rise of the Fighting Game Community.

Some of the topics they touch on include reactions to the documentary as well as how he handled some of the more negative aspects of the community. Additionally, they also spend some time talking to Martinez about how “eSports” has influenced competitive fighting games, based on what he saw while making the film.

Their second guest was Tempo Storm’s Christopher “Chris G” Gonzalez. Kumite in Tennessee was something of a comeback tournament for the Marvel legend, and they talk to him a bit regarding how he has focused on his game instead of living on social media.
