Nash’s Ability to Drain Meter in Street Fighter V May Change the Way We See the Character

Draining super meter from an opponent isn’t a new concept, but it’s also not one we see popping up in every play session, or even every game. In Street Fighter V, Capcom gave Nash access to Tragedy Assault, a tool equipping him with the ability to snag some meter from his opponent, opening up new strategies.

In the video below, Pan demonstrates some possible ways to employ this special, and how the excess meter Nash picks up in the process could stand to change the way he approaches a match. While not always the most damaging option, Pan presents good arguments for making the switch to Tragedy Assault when ending combos.

While this is not the final word on the perfect way to play Nash, it’s definitely worth checking out if you plan on giving him a go.

Cubone, Diglett, Magneton, More Added to Pokkén Tournament’s Support Roster

In addition to playable Pokémon, Pokkén Tournament features support characters to bring into the battle. The inclusion of such support characters helps give Pokémon who may not make the best transition to a fighting title a chance to shine, while also allowing the game to include a much larger roster of characters.

Now, six new support Pokémon for the game have been revealed. These new faces include Cubone, Diglett, Magneton, Quagsire, Espeon, and Umbreon. Each of these support characters uses one trademark attack when called into battle. For example, Cubone uses Bonemerang, a multi-hitting, long range attack, while Espeon uses Morning Sun, removing any status ailments from the player’s main Pokémon and restoring some health.

As with all of the game’s other support Pokémon, these characters come grouped in pairs; Cubone with Diglett, Magneton with Quagsire, and Espeon with Umbreon.

Pokkén Tournament hits Wii U systems around the world on March 18.
