Combat the Worst Habits Faced by Super Smash Bros. Players

Getting better at any given game can be difficult. Part of that difficulty lies not necessarily in a lack of skill, but in an inability to identify the problem areas necessary to fix in order to actually improve at the game in question. With this in mind, the folks at SSBM Tutorials recently released a video offering tips for combating the top five mistakes new players make when getting into Smash.

These mistakes include spending time standing still after attacks, spamming double jump, and not mixing up out-of-shield options. While these tips do apply to each version of Super Smash Bros., there is a definite focus on assisting the Melee crowd. Even so, if you’ve only recently started taking Nintendo’s fighter seriously, be sure to check it out.

Smash @ Xanadu #142 feat. Super Smash Bros. Melee Streaming Live
