Learn How to Quickly and Easily Install Street Fighter V Mods

One of the major benefits that PC games have over their console counterparts is how easily they can be modded. Creative file manipulation can grant players access to new character models, new stages, new UI elements… the list really does go on.

And, even though the mod installation process isn’t difficult, it can be intimidating to poke around inside those folders that often remain closed if you’ve not done it before. With that in mind, the folks at Street Fighter V Mods decided to construct a quick tutorial demonstrating where to acquire, then drag and drop mods to properly install them.

Do note that, while it’s highly unlikely you’ll accidentally delete anything important when installing a new mod to Street Fighter V, we feel it necessary to warn that it’s still possible to do so, and mods of any kind should be installed at your own risk.

It’s also noteworthy that some of the mods featured on Street Fighter V Mods’ YouTube channel, as well as other mods out in the wild, contain NSFW content, so approach with caution.

Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko rematch set for July 9 in Manchester

Britain’s Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) will defend his world heavyweight titles in a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 54 KOs) on July 9 at the Manchester Arena.
Fury defeated Klitschko by unanimous decision to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF belts in Dusseldorf, Germany last November, ending the Ukrainian’s 11-year unbeaten run and his historic 9½-year title reign during which he made 18 successful defences.

Mysterious, Fantasy-Inspired Neo-Geo Fighting Game Discovered

The 1990s were a fertile time for fighting games, and almost every developer out there was scrambling to make what they hoped would be the next big title in the budding genre. As such, it’s no surprise that unfinished games from the period surface from time to time.

One such prototype was recently unearthed by Neo-Geo.com forum regular Brian Hargrove, aka NeoTurfMasta. First shown at the Midwest Gaming Classic, the prototype in question has no known name or even developer, as that information was lost due to data corruption on the board. However, signs point to it being developed by Technos Japan, and it may, in fact, be Death Match, a game scheduled for 1994 that never quite saw the light of day. The fact that the board carries the label of another Technos game, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer, only strengthens this argument.

The game itself features a fantasy aesthetic that seems to be heavily influenced by Dungeons and Dragons, with the character falling into tropes from the tabletop RPG. As an extension of this, each character can switch between Lawful, Neutral and Evil stances in the game. Each stance comes with its own set of (incomplete) sprites, at least for the characters that have sprites.

Hargrove is hard at work at creating a playable ROM dump of the game for MAME, hoping to eventually be able to release it to the public. You can see the results of his efforts in the videos below.

The Das Tal team has more money to assist in the development of the game thanks to increased investment by a German game investment fund and ‘angels’ who recently doubled pledged funds. Now totaling over 300,000 Euro, Fairytale Distillery can begin more focused development in player engagement though veteran stages and the tutorial system.
