Billy Joe Saunders pulls out of world title defence

WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (23-0, 12 KOs) has pulled out of his world title defence against Max Bursak (32-4-1, 15 KOs) after suffering a left hand injury during a training session.
The British southpaw was due to defend his belt for the first time against Ukrainian Bursak on April 30 at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Saunders, 26, won the title when he outpointed Ireland’s Andy Lee last December. He knocked down Lee twice in the third round on the way to a majority decision…

General: Two of Three Troika Founders Land at Obsidian

Diablo 3 World Designer Leonard Boyarsky has left Blizzard and joined Obsidian Entertainment. Prior to his tenure with Blizzard, Boyarsky worked on the Fallout series at Interplay, then moved on to co-found Troika where he was the game director on Vampire: The Masquerade.

General: Consortium: The Tower Reaches Funding Goal

Consortium: The Tower has reached its $300,000 initial funding goal with another twenty-eight days to go. The team has now moved on from the base goal to stretch goals, the first of which is Equipment Engineering. Consortium: The Tower is being created by the original Consortium team and is backed by one of Bioware’s founders, Dr. Greg Zeschuk.

Rift: The Celebration of the Ascended Begins Today

Rift’s 3.6 update, Celebration of the Ascended, launches today on April 13th, and were fortunate enough to get an early look at all that’s being crammed into this patch: five new souls (one for each calling), tons of new Carnival of the Ascended events and rewards, new planar attunement unlocks, new mounts, and yes full multicore support!
