Beefy Smash Doods Offer Strategies to Stop Bayonetta in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
With all the buzz in the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U scene surrounding Bayonetta’s tournament legality, it only makes sense for one of the biggest names in tutorials for the title to drop in with their own take on handling the situation. In a new video, the Beefy Smash Doods get right down to business, offering up ten minutes of tips and tricks for besting the maligned character.
It wouldn’t be a set of anti-Bayonetta tech without mention of Witch Time, which the Beefy Smash Doods argue as one of the better moves in the game, but certainly not a flawless one. They suggest to lean heavily on grabs with true follow-up options to tack on as much guaranteed damage as possible while avoiding being caught in what can result in extremely early stock loss.
Since her neutral game isn’t actually all that great, the video also suggests forcing Bayonetta to approach, which can result in poor decisions on her part, and big punishment opportunities for her opponent. And if you’re fighting Bayonetta, you’re certain to fall victim to a number of her lengthy combos, so the tutorial includes a section dedicated to successfully escaping such situations.
