Marvel Is Aware of the Demand for More Marvel vs. Capcom

Marvel vs. Capcom has always been one of the most popular fighting game series in the world. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 had a legendary decade long run, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 still sees a lot of support and is mainstay at Evo. With this in mind, one has to wonder what’s in store for the future of this vaunted franchise. While nothing is in the works at the moment, Marvel Games Vice President Jay Ong has stated that they are aware of the demand for more Marvel vs. Capcom.

Talking to Polygon, Ong stated that while “there’s nothing we can say at this time,” his team does get plenty of feedback regarding the demand for more Marvel, either in the form of an update for UMvC3 or a new game altogether.

Ong went on to say, “We love our fans and we certainly want to please them.” While he acknowledged that nothing is in the works for now, he does let readers know that the future is uncertain.

Andre Ward to battle Alexander Brand, before Sergey Kovalev clash

Former super middleweight world champion Andre Ward (29-0, 15 KOs) will fight Alexander Brand (25-1, 19 KOs) on August 6 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
Ward has already signed to challenge IBF, WBA, and WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev on November 19. However, both have fights to come through. Russia’s Kovalev is scheduled to defend his belts against Isaac Chilemba on July 11.
