Catching up on Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- 1.03 Changes, Gameplay and Patch Summary

Dust is slowly setting after the post-Evo 2016 Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- patch, which overhauled the balance in the game mainly by nerfing the top characters, Sin Kiske, Johnny, and Elphelt Valentine. Many characters have seen slight tune-ups and a few, notably Jam, received a lot of buffs. The patch also introduced Dizzy.

Niconico streamed an Arc System Works Post-Evo Festival, which showcased top Japanese talent playing with the balance patch applied (which is hitting Japanese arcades August 4th).

The video shows Machabo, Omito, Rion, and Nakamura experiencing the patch changes. Notably, Machabo starts considering playing Ky Kiske again.

American player Oso created a humorous “visual” patch notes video, which doesn’t showcase every single change that’s taken place, but provides useful examples of new things.

General: Finding the RPG in Elder Scrolls Legends

The NDA for The Elder Scrolls Legends has officially dropped, which means we can finally share our thoughts. So far on the site, we’ve had an excellent preview article and video preview from Mike Bitton and TheHiveLeader. We tasked Chris with looking at the game from an RPG player’s perspective and see what the game offers to Elder Scrolls fans who may not be sold on the CCG concept. Or, dare we suggest it, think the game is a Hearthstone clone.

Get Your (Juri) Han’s Dirty With These S.I.N.ful Street Fighter V Combos

With Juri having officially released, even getting a nifty introduction video to go along with her release, fans are at a fever pitch with excitement and giddiness. Between the form fitting spandex, the spine-defying poses, and the sadistic innuendos, there’s a lot to love. One fan, Ray Ishima, took to making a combo video showing off some of her practical and impractical combos.

Another long time Combo crafter, Desk, also tries his hands at a combo video, heavily featuring Juri’s V-Trigger.

If you want more of Juri, there was a roundup of tech earlier this month, as well as a useful V-Trigger guide. With all this tech already available, this Spider-like spandex-sporting sadist seems like a real force to be reckoned with, if a bit frail. Whether or not you win with her seems like it’ll all be in the Feng Shui you use her.

Shroud of the Avatar: Release 32: Le Finale Wipe

Red Thomas makes a trip to Austin in order to get the details on Shroud of the Avatar’s 32nd release, and final wipe. The trip had absolutely nothing to do with the opportunity to capture wild and exotic Pokmon. Nope. Not at all.
