Anton “Filipinoman” Herrera is quickly rising in the charts as a Street Fighter V player. First known as a Rose player in the Street Fighter IV series, he has begun to turn far more heads within the community with his stellar Chun-Li play in Street Fighter V. Currently ranked #43 in the global rankings–and recently winning Red Bull Vanguard after narrowly missing out on Top 8 at Evolution 2016–he is one of the many American players to be feared in the game.

Recently, Herrera sat down with Yahoo! Esports to discuss the game, and who he thought to be his personal demon to play against. Spoken like a true strong player, he stated, “I don’t believe I have no demons; I feel like I can beat anyone that I play.” Talking about character choices, he feels like he has a hard time against Ken, but further elaborates that “none of the Ken players are in my league.”

He further gives advice to up and coming players, stating, “just play. Go out and find friends to play with… it’s always fun.”

As promised in the last development blog update, the first of the Double Fight Money events bound for Street Fighter V is incoming! According to the latest update from Capcom-Unity, log in and fight some Ranked Matches between 4:00 PM (PDT), September 2 and 9:00 PM (PDT), September 4 and you’ll receive twice as much Fight Money for your efforts. Here’s your chance to get some extra scratch towards those stages and costumes you’re missing.

The post also promises further updates “later this month,” so here’s hoping for some hard news about Urien’s release–and the other features that have been promised for September–before too much longer.
