Check out How the Digital Figure Mode Works in the Upcoming Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- Patch
As promised right after the 2016 Evo Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- championship, a Digital Figure Mode is making its way to the Arc System Works game later this month. On September 30th, the mode will be available thanks to a free patch alongside some as yet unannounced balance changes.
In an introductory trailer, the company explains how the mode works. It functions like a diorama: it allows to set a scene between two characters in any background available from the game. The trailer shows off how flexible it’s going to be. For example, it’s possible to put Sol Badguy in his motorcycle from Story Mode and change his facial expressions and color. Naturally, the game allows to freely move the camera around in 3D and zoom in on the details. PlayStation 4 users can then take a screenshot and share it across social media by using the Share feature.
There’s also a contest tied to a #GGXrd_Photo hashtag that will run until October 10th.

I think voice actors deserve all the recognition they can get–they’re too often overlooked for their contributions to our games and animation, but that does seem to be slowly improving. By pairing the faces to the voices, this is as close as we have so far to what a recording session for Street Fighter V would have looked like.

Thunderstruck 4 Streaming Live from Monterrey, Mexico
Two Latin America Capcom Pro Tour events are scheduled for this weekend. First up is Thunderstruck 4 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Over two days players from Mexico and surrounding areas will compete in Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, The King of Fighters XIV, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Street Fighter V, and a number of other games.
NVT|Flash, PG|Fchamp, Pony, KUSANAGI and PHOENIX are a few of the players set to compete at the event.
