Panda Global Signs Two Super Smash Bros. Players in Time for Genesis 4

Just on the cusp of Genesis 4, Panda Global has made the move to sign two more players within the Super Smash Bros. community, and both on very opposite ends of the spectrum.

Rich Brown is one of the signings, who is a strong player in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. With Brawl oft neglected at tournaments these days, Brown will be playing Super Smash Bros. for Wii U at Genesis 4.

The more amazing signing was SuPeRbOoMfAn. He is a top player in the original Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo 64, and will be focused solely on that at Genesis. While it could be perplexing that they are signing someone focused on the original title, there is a strong revival of that game currently happening, so it should be quite interesting to see the direction they take with their signings from herein.

Vagabond’s Akuma Takes on Smug, Calipower, and More in These Street Fighter V Ranked Match Highlights

Texas’ own Anas “Vagabond” Khan, now sponsored by Noble Gaming, had a breakout year in 2016 with his aggressive Necalli play in Street Fighter V–with high placings in several stacked tournaments, including Texas Showdown (4th place) and the Red Bull Battlegrounds Last Chance Qualifier (5th place). So in a move that perhaps goes back to his SFIV roots when he used to play Evil Ryu, Vagabond has started playing Akuma, and from the looks of this Ranked Match highlight video by YouTube user Vice, he seems to have picked things up quickly with the Master of the Fist.

Vagabond tests his new character against several highly-ranked opponents such as PIE|Smug and Alex “Calipower” Valle among others. With already a basic, but good understanding of the neutral game with Akuma, Vagabond shows off what he has learned so far with simple but highly optimal combos in both V-Trigger and non-V-Trigger mode, with post-combo setups to continue the offense. This video is a highly entertaining and informative watch of the high damage potential and pressure Akuma is capable of. There is a great Raging Demon punish at the end as well!
