Street Fighter V Online Glitch Temporarily Knocks Players Back to Rookie Rank

As previously reported, Street Fighter V’s servers are down for maintenance today. While no details on what exactly this maintenance period will be addressing have been dropped, it’s likely meant to–at the very least–fix a number of glitches with the current system.

One such glitch is this one demonstrated in a video by Ditch Pickler. In the video below, he demonstrates how, after a loss in Ranked, he was suddenly put back in Rookie rank (with zero League Points), down from Super Gold, despite only losing 1 League Point. Happily, this is only temporary–as the rank fixes itself in later matches. There are thankfully no reports of this LP “loss” being permanent.

Why this happens is currently unknown. However, it’s possible that the temporary rank down was due to a connection issue with the server, and the game being unable to fetch the player’s correct rank in time. [I have personally experienced this glitch myself, as well. – Editor]

King of Fighters XIV Getting Two New DLC Costumes This Month

SNK has been quick to support The King of Fighters XIV with post-launch content, and that doesn’t look to change this year. However, it seems there has been some confusion on what that downloadable content will be, with some Chinese sites even reporting that the game would be getting a new character.

That confusion has now been cleared up, thanks to the efforts of Gatoray and MOJO82. Some Chinese news outlets, had mistranslated a quote from KoFXIV producer Yasuyuki Oda during a press conference, claiming that he had confirmed a new character. In reality, Oda had mentioned that KoFXIV would be getting 2 new downloadable costumes later this month.

The costumes in particular are supposed to be for new protagonist Shun’ei, and Samurai Shodown character Nakoruru. The selection of these two characters is interesting, as it means that, unlike with Kyo or Athena, the new costumes won’t be callbacks to earlier games (XIV is Shun’ei’s first appearance, and Nakoruru is in her traditional look from previous games).

These costumes are expected to drop sometime near the end of this month. Whether or not they’re for China only–or if they’ll be out for the rest of the world–is as of yet unknown.

Marvel Heroes 2016 is about to gets its biggest systems update ever when the next patch goes live on January 19th. One of the massive overhauls involves talents and powers for each of the 50+ heroes and villains in the game. Some old favorites got new skills, including none other than Rocket Raccoon. Watch for a nice quick look at the new stuff coming to you this Thursday.

Marvel Heroes 2016 – Step into 2017 with the Biggest Update Ever

The biggest systems update ever for Marvel Heroes 2016 is about to land on the live servers this coming Thursday. The culmination of seven months of rigorous work, every single hero (of the 50+ in the game) is receiving a skills pass. The Omega system for end-game progression is being replaced by the Infinity system. Talents are coming to the game along with traits for each hero.

Conan Exiles – Player Feedback Integral to New PvP / PvE & Reset Rules

The Conan Exiles Reddit has been updated with a new post from Funcom that has good news for those who expressed convern with the recent announcement that servers would be wiped every 30 days. As a direct result of player feedback, Funcom has made the decision to implement official PvP, PvE and PvP Blitz servers. Only PvP Blitz servers will be reset on the 30-day schedule with PvP and PvE servers not being reset at all. Player-run servers can select their own reset rules.
