Diddy Kong has had a tumultuous time in Smash 4. At one point, the best character in the game without question; changes, nerfs and DLC have seen him settle into the position of “strong but not broken.” He’s still a beast in the neutral, and has some of the best results around, but he’s no longer the overwhelming presence he was on release.

Zinoto, one of Diddy’s leading practitioners and Michigan’s number one player, has decided that it’s time to change that. He’s released a video explaining some of the most underused techniques that Diddy Kong has at his disposal, including some advice on when to use them.

Whether you are an aspiring Diddy main, or just want to know what to watch out for, this video is well worth a look. At just under ten minutes, it’s comprehensive and fascinating, so grab your popcorn and your popguns and get ready to take some notes.

Exhibitions sets can be very exciting, especially against two evenly matched players. Crew battles add an extra dynamic, with the combination of high-level play and diverse playstyles/characters really great to see. We saw this just last weekend in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike with the Cooperation Cup, and now we’re seeing a similar team-based exhibition for BlazBlue: Central Fiction.

Shinjuku (with 43 players) vs. Chugoku (34 players) fight tooth and nail for nearly 5 hours, going back and forth and taking out each other’s fighters. Despite a 9-player difference between teams, we end up with a very close set showcasing just about every BB character on the roster. If you’re ready for this and have 5 hours to kill, then get comfortable, and grab yourself a snack and a drink–cause you’re gonna be here a while! The playlist for this exhibition is linked below.
