Bulk Up with This Tung Combo Video for King of Fighters XIV

Chin usually grabs all the attention in the “old small guy” department in King of Fighters XIV competitive play. There’s someone who isn’t happy with that, and that’s Tung Fu Rue. While he may look like a doddering old man, Tung’s mastery of the Hakkyokuseiken allows him to project his chi, beating up his opponents with a literal muscle spirit.

To highlight Tung’s power, Setsuna_MX has put together this combo video showing off some Max Mode and wall bounce setups.

King of the Hill Smug Fights Off Threats to the Throne in This Street Fighter V Set Against Vagabond

Smug may be having the best season ever, and the Capcom Pro Tour hasn’t even started. Just this week, he defeated Echo Fox’s Justin Wong 10-1 at ESL’s King of the Hill, and currently sits on top of the Capcom Fighters Network Leaderboard.

But once you’re on top, everyone becomes hungry to knock you off your pedestal. Smug is learning this maxim, as Vagabond’s Necalli has shown up, prepared to do some serious damage to the best Balrog in the world.

Flying High Celebrates Six Years of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Hype at Evo

The Marvel vs. Capcom games have always been a great source of stories and hype at Evo, and both Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 are no exception. To celebrate the six years of hype that the latest entry in the series has brought us and to drum up some support for having UMvC3 in for another year, Flying High has compiled a video showcasing some of their most hype moments at Evo.

Trying to enumerate each and every hype moment that’s in this video would take too much work – there’s just too many moments and too much hype. That said, long time Evo viewers should recognize moments such as Viscant taking it over PR Balrog in 2010, Justin Wong’s amazing comeback against Flocker in 2013, Justin winning at Evo in 2014, and of course, ChrisG finally winning after years of trying last year.

Those interested in seeing Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 have one more year at Evo can donate here.

SNK Releases Original King of Fighters XIV Digital Comic Book

On the KOF WORLD Facebook page, SNK  announced the release of an original comic that is set in the world of The King of Fighters XIV. The digital issues is 10 pages long and seems to depict a casual meeting between the members of Team Psycho Soldier (Chin, Kensou and Athena) and Team China (Tung Fu Rue, Shun’ei and Meitenkun), with Master Tung Fu Rue serving as host. The comic is currently available in four different translations: Japanese, Korean and two versions of both traditional and simplified Chinese.

No word on an English version yet, but it is notable that SNK seems to be, in this case, catering to their different language demographics. The comments on the original Facebook post also seem to indicate a demand for Portuguese and Spanish translations, which isn’t unreasonable considering The King of Fighters’ prominent Latin fan base.  For those who are able to read Japanese, Korean or Chinese, you can read the comic here.
