Not sure who to play in Tekken 7? CKT-Fergus will guide you to your main!

Whenever you transition from one fighting game to another, you instinctively want to find a parallel with something you’re familiar with. Irish Tekken player CKT-Fergus recognized this phenomena with Street Fighter players moving into the Tekkensphere, and has put together a comprehensive guide to character selection in Tekken 7.

The guide breaks down each character’s overall game play, how difficult their learning curve is, and some general pros/cons regarding each fighter. If you have an idea of the general type of character you enjoy playing in games, this should help narrow down the choices. There’s also a glossary of common Tekken terms, making this a handy reference beyond just character selection screen.

Darkseid brings forth the wrath of Apokolips in his official Injustice 2 gameplay trailer

While we caught our first in-game glimpse of him via a pre-match intro compilation, we now finally get to see Injustice 2 pre-order character Darkseid in action, as his official gameplay trailer was released during tonight’s special stream from Los Angeles.

After confirming his status as a God with Brainiac, Darkseid–who is unsurprisingly a Power character–unleashes a teleport, a command grab, and a variety of Omega Beams to assault his foes from all angles of the screen. He can also call forth one of his Parademons to unleash tandem attacks and supplement his zoning, in a manner eerily similar to summoner Quan Chi’s bat, or Atrocitus’s Red Lantern cat Dex-Starr. We also get another look at his super, in which he fires a seemingly player-controlled Omega Beam that leads into the full animation if it connects.

Submit to his rule by watching the video below, and check back tomorrow when the final character of the base roster–The Joker, according to leaked achievements and footage–is offically revealed.

AutoMattock explains TOOLASSISTED’s Street Fighter V’s Oki Calculator

Want to quickly develop your own okizeme setups, but not sure where to start? TOOLASSISTED has a great Oki Calculator (for those unsure, that’s another term for the wakeup game in fighting games) designed to help you see the exact numbers on both your opponent’s wakeup options and your “filler” attacks. Although TOOLASSISTED themselves have provided some very brief explanations listed on their site, AutoMattock decided to make a video for the visually-inclined to learn from.

With this tool, you can calculate exactly what you need to do to make sure your attacks line up on frame 1 of your opponent’s wake up. Neat!

Check out impressive Johnny Burst grabs and combos from A3Religion in Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-

Some players are practiced enough in Guilty Gear that their matches look like combo videos. When you get that sweet Burst grab, a high-damage combo, or a setup into an Instant Kill, you know you’re feeling yourself. If it happens often enough, why not make a “combo” video out of it?
