Secret World Legends – Leaks ‘Lead to Misunderstandings & Misconceptions’ ~ R.Amiel

Earlier today, Secret Worlds Legends Reddit blew up with NDA-violating leaks about the ongoing closed beta test. The information revealed screenshots, how combat has changed and information about lore portions of the story. However, Funcom feels that the information is not a fair or accurate portrayal of SWL due to the nature of closed beta testing. A leak “leads to misunderstandings and misconceptions that are doing nothing but a disservice to the game, the team working on it & future players.”

Misfits branches out into traditional fighting games with the signing of Armando “Angelic” Mejia

The esports organization Misfits have clearly made a bargain with Dormammu, by signing one of the titanic forces of Marvel as their first traditional fighting game player. Host of Arizona’s Undefeated tournament series, one of the key figures of the newly formed Curleh Circuit, and third place finisher at both Evo 2013 and 2016 for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Misfits have added Armando “Angelic” Mejia to their ranks.

Alongside his prestigious history as a Marvel competitor, Angelic is also bringing his years of TO experience to Misfits, which should help the organization grow its presence within the greater FGC. With Misfits also having Larry Lurr under its banner–who is a director of the much heralded 2GGC Series for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U–the team is looking to become a player and organizational powerhouse in the future.

“I am extremely excited to partner up not only as a player but as a TO. I truly believe that Misfits will do extremely well in the FGC and I’m excited to be a part of the team,” said Angelic, in a statement provided to ESPN Esports. He will be sporting his brand new Misfits jersey at West Coast Warzone this weekend.

Beefy Smash Doods present a Smash 4 Wario combo video full of Waft confirms and Motorcycle traps

The guys behind Beefy Smash Doods are no strangers to bizarre Smash techniques and combos. Wario has never been a straightforward character in any Smash game, using his obnoxious hitboxes like N-air and Motorcycle to confirm into a Waft kill. A Wario combo video from Beefy Smash Doods promises to be full of insane confirms off strange situations, and “It’s a Wii, Wario!” by SiC doesn’t disappoint.

I think Motorcycle Toss, down throw into Waft confirm is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen in Smash in a while. That was only a minute into this video, though: the awareness and performance of SiC clearly shown in their footstools, gimps, and low percent kills is impressive. If you’re a Wario main, there is definitely something you can learn from this.

Joutai demonstrates Ken’s kara throw in Street Fighter V’s current build

Another tool in the Ken rushdown arsenal, at least for now.

Longtime Street Fighter players are no stranger to kara throws–for those unfamiliar: basically tricking the game engine into extending your fighter’s throw range by entering the command for a longer-ranged normal attack immediately before the throw command. Joutai has found a kara throw for Ken in the current version of Street Fighter V, in this case using his light kick to reach out just that much farther. You can see it demonstrated in the video below!
