There was some strange twist of fate that resulted in an arcade fighting game movie tie-in for the box-office-bomb “Double Dragon.” Perhaps even stranger is the fact that this double-jump and air-block heavy Technos fighter is not only playable, but remarkable competitive, as proven by the most recent Mikado Arcade tournament.

It’s also nice to know that years before Rashid’s “Skies of Honor” stage was making players suffer motion sickness, Double Dragon had its own physics-defying airplane stage!

As one of the new additions to the cast in Injustice 2, we’ve seen relatively little of Dr Fate so far. Thankfully, PND|Ketchup and Mustard managed to get their hands on the character in a pre-release build, and have put together an extensive beginner’s guide.

Since they only had a couple of hours with the character, don’t expect any enormous strings or gamebreaking tricks, but the Getting Started guide does a fantastic job of getting into the nitty-gritty of the character. Starting with his basic strings and moving on to the unique properties of his special moves, the video ends on some suggestions for a basic gameplan. If you’re planning to dig into the wielder of the Helm of Fate on release, this is absolutely a must-watch video.
