ESL to host Injustice 2 release day King Of The Hill with KDZ, Tom Brady, Pig Of The Hut, and Slayer
After seeing some recent success with Street Fighter V events, the ESL King Of The Hill series will be expanding to Injustice 2 by hosting a release day event. The competitors will be Evo 2013 Injustice: Gods Among Us champion EMP|KDZ, Evo 2014 Injustice runner-up Pig Of The Hut, UA|Tom Brady, and Slayer. The four players will be competing in a series of First-to-10 sets with the release build of the game–though they won’t know if pre-order character Darkseid will be available until the day of the event. ESL’s Joshua Gray also noted on Test Your Might that “Competitors do not have early access to the game. This is show up and blow up time.”
Though we currently don’t know what time the matches will take place, it will likely be streamed on http://www.twitch.tv/ESL. You can see the announcement tweet by Joshua Gray below.

VesperArcade discusses next week’s CFN beta for Street Fighter V, and Ed’s possible playability
Will we get to try out Ed next week? Or will Capcom reveal someone else?
In his latest video, VesperArcade chats about what we can expect from the upcoming second Capcom Fighters Network beta test, that will be available next week for both PlayStation 4 and PC users. As Capcom has indicated that we’ll also be able to try out the next DLC fighter in this beta test, the expectation is, naturally, that we’ll get a chance to play as Ed, as least for a little while!
Now, there’s no guarantee that Capcom will indeed trot out Ed next; while his impending arrival was leaked through the PlayStation Store, we don’t know for certain that the Psycho Power-wielding teen will be the next playable fighter without an official confirmation. But it seems very likely–and based on that likelihood, VesperArcade discusses what sort of fighting style we might expect to see from Balrog’s ward. A mix of boxing techniques peppered with Psycho Power could make for an interesting fighter!

NuckleDu confirms that this year’s champion’s choice CPT costume will be for Guile, not R. Mika
Last year, as part of the first Capcom Pro Tour DLC package, a costume was added based on a design by 2015’s Capcom Pro Tour champion: GODSGARDEN Pro’s Ryota “Kazunoko” Inoue. The costume was for Necalli–a surprising pick, since Kazunoko had been playing Cammy! For this year however, it seems that the costume will be for someone the current reigning champion does play.
In a recent series of tweets, Team Liquid’s Du “NuckleDu” Dang has confirmed (in a conversation with Red Bull’s Olivier “Luffy” Hay) that his Capcom Pro Tour champion’s choice costume will be for Guile. Guile is one of two characters that NuckleDu plays regularly, with the other being R. Mika. Of course, this means disappointment for R. Mika fans, since he didn’t choose to design one for her.
As for what the costume will be like, NuckleDu has stated that the design he chose is “pretty silly,” and that people shouldn’t have high expectations. The concept of Guile in R. Mika cosplay has been suggested… but not by NuckleDu himself! We’ll learn more on this when Capcom eventually reveals the costume later this year.
