Fable eSports signs on Guilty Gear player KidViper

DreamHack Austin 2017 was an eventful tournament, especially for Street Fighter and Smash Bros. fans. However, there is some big news from Guilty Gear as well: the event’s big upset in Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- happened at the Grand Finals.

From the video below, at the 3:05:00 mark, KidViper begins a grueling match against CO|Dogura, one of the best Japanese Guilty Gear players. Ultimately, KidViper manages to triumph and puts down both of Dogura’s characters, Raven and Sin, with his Johnny.

Now, whether KidViper was in the talks with esports team Fable already is unknown, but this victory couldn’t have hurt; he is now part of their fighting game roster, which includes Smash, Counter Strike, and Rainbow Six.

In playing MMOs since Ultima Online there are a long list of reasons why I used to log in every night. As you get older and life kicks in, it becomes harder to find time online. However, there are certain aspects of MMOs that I feel really bring out why we play these games. It is the reason so many independent projects are finding funding now, because we want to play together.

Elder Scrolls Online – In-House Q&A with the Team Behind the Warden

A trio of developers took part in an in-house Q&A about Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind and the upcoming warden class. Lead Combat Designer Eric Wrobel, Senior Animator Silvia Littlefield, and Lead VFX Artist Cambria Blaize all were on hand to answer questions ranging from why the decision to make it a nature-based theme to how the new class will be balanced compared to others to its unique skills to name just a few.
